Where used : For 3-phase industrial electric motors where motor starter is used which may either dry type or oil immersed type. Now a days, most motor starters are oil immersed type. The oil used in motor starter is known as Starter Oil.

About Starter Oil: It is highly purified tasteless, odorless & colorless looks like clear white distilled water. It has property for spark emission so that spark shall not generate at contact points in the starter during operation of “On” and “Off” as this is one type of insulating oil likeTtransformer Oil. It has high Fire Point so that it will not flash at certain high temperature. Moreover, it is totally dehydrated so that it does not allow to form moisture or water vapor in the starter to maintain the insulating ability of oil. As a result there is no chance to form water or sludge in the oil. In addition, it prevents, rust formation, corrosion and provides lubrication at contact points inside the starter. Life of starter increases using this oil.
